Festive Fun Family Event - Group 3

Service Description

Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas in partnership with Castlemilk Community Fire Station brings you a free festive fun family event, with the aim of fundraising for new toys and gifts to support local children experiencing hardship or poverty in Glasgow and surrounding areas. We invite you to bring and donate a new toy or gift in original packaging for children aged 0-16 years to help bring the magic of Christmas to more children this year. Toy or gift donations must be checked into the centre reception when you arrive before your Fire Engine tour starts for health and safety. The event takes place on Sunday 30th November and runs from 2:00-4:00pm. It is ideally suited for young children to meet a fire fighter and enjoy a tour around a fire engine / appliance. The tour will take 15 minutes so please book your timed slot to avoid disappointment and ensure you arrive in time to enjoy your experience. Elf will be making a special appearance between 2:30pm and 2.55pm and the Grinch from 3:05pm until 3.30pm, so have your camera ready for some wonderful photos to capture special memories of the day. Enjoy a free tea/coffee or hot chocolate in Santa's Secret Workshop (aka The Wellbeing Centre) and a free treat from a selection of goodies donated by the Brookland Cafe. There will also be more photo opportunities in The Wellbeing Centre and an opportunity to write a letter to Santa and post in Santa's letterbox before you leave.
